Anyone hear from Marstar?

ASSYRIAN
Thanks for the support, we appreciate your positive comments....
But tell me something, how do we support our operation ? Pay 10 people ? Cover taxes ? Insurance ? What happened to the over 1,100 guns that came in this month ?

Strange, we have over 2000 pages on our site we generate 46 t- 50 thousand hits each and every day....

ALL this from a place of business that is always sold out ??

That was my version of a compliment.

That many.... I bet 10 of those hits daily are me...LOL

That was my version of a compliment.
And you proved me wrong too... you did re-stock on something I have been waiting for.:sniper:

Hey....I even asked for a golf shirt:dancingbanana:

spent the whole day in the shop cleaning and cleaning. was nice to have a big ol wash tank. all cleaned and test fired, all back in the houses. thanks again marstar.

stackoM14s.jpg

I wish that was my stash ..... :(

Well after cleaning it and then walking around the house going "this is my rifle this is my gun" and "left sholder hooah, right sholder hooah"

I am going to take it to the range just to test fire it... then put it away till I get a new stock... mount and scope.

What is the best or the most recommended scope mount out there??? Scope I will be using is a Leupold VXIII 4.5*14*50

Actually I wasn't billed last week monday for my m14 but I got a PM stating that I would infact be gaurenteed to get one from the next crate. Also was gaurenteed to get the 2 extras I ordered from the next crate. So I guess just have to wait now.

I don't understand why you guys that are just ITCHIN to get yer mitts on a Marstar imported m14s/m305 ..... aren't just going to another dealer in the mean time......... Is 20.00 bucks more for the same package... availlable NOW..... too much to spend? There are several dealers out there, who get thier rifles from marstar who have them in stock for immediate delivery...... but instead we have a "has anyone heard from marstar thread" ........ too funny :runaway: :runaway:
that said, I do have a few more on order from marstar's last incoming boat BUT the 3 that arrived yesterday at my door and the 5 that came 10 days ago...... originated at marstar but were purchase from another dealer...... landed cost..... 17.60 more than if i ordered from marstar........ I'll shut up now :D

Test fired it... worked fine nothing came loose... tested 168 A-max and 168 Match bullets my own hand loads everything worked fine... can't wait to get it scoped and start to shoot some tight groups.

you'll have to pass along those A-Max reload recipes as you work em up.... I have a box full waitin to be loaded into super accurate rounds :D

Well I was on my indoor club range its only 20 meters I felt bad using such high quality ammo so I only shot 20 to make sure the gun worked and didn't blow up in my face.

I started with 39.1 grains of 3031

At 20 yards on a rest brand new gun fired 5 shot under 1", if it can pull that off at 100 I'll be a happy camper. have to wait till I get a chance to try it out in the country on our farm property its 1 1/2 hours away... I think these long guns I keep buying will make me join a rifle range closer to my house.

I am going to make myself a steal plate about 12" x 18" that falls over when its hit and then a motor brings it back up... like a poper but that is automatic and try shooting past 600 yards... since thats the furthest I have ever shot with my .233... even though the M-14s isn't a precision gun I think it should be able to do fine at 600-800 yards

Yup, I heard from Marstar.

Marie sends me an email and says that my M14s is on the way and there is some other stuff that's going to ship later, what do I want to do with the back-ordered stuff?
So I emailed back (later the _same_ day) to hold the pending shipment until it was complete. (I actually wanted them to hold the whole shipment, including the M14s until it was complete; but I guess that's water under the bridge)

The box with the M14s arrived on Wednesday of last week (the 18th), at the post office today was another box from Marstar.
Yup,... the incomplete pending shipment.
Perhaps (and I quote from my email to Marie..) "Yes, Marie. I would prefer to wait to ship it all together." was somehow ambiguous.

I still like the folks at Marstar, I'll still send them my money, they do a great job for Canadian shooters, especially those of us in the battlerifle community.

However, that doesn't mean that they don't need the occasional kick in the pants.

Ordered two from Frontier Taxidermy on Thursday after being put on the next container list. They arrived yesterday.Boy was that fast.Thats good service too.

SPLATTER;
Did you ever think that maybe, just maybe, stock was out one day and arrived unexpected shortly after....

In your case the additional goods were not due for several weeks, therefore we shipped your rifle....

Quite unexpected the remainder arrived early from the manufacturer....

I guess we can't win, if we ship we get hell, we don't ship we get hell....

John.As a real old electrician said to me once.Jim, bad love is better then no love. Ya can't take this stuff too serious, you can't keep all the people happy all the time.Your one of the family, people may say things to get it off their chest but hey,we still love ya and what you do for the sport/industry.Now after that can I get a good deal on some m14s parts;)

John:
It would have been great if stock had arrived unexpectedly and that's why my order was shipped.... Except my order is still incomplete.

My issue isn't so much that my order is being shipped in smaller pieces than I would prefer,
it's that I was asked for my input,... then ignored.

We all still love you John; but that doesn't mean we have to love everything about you, k?
