A friend has asked me if I can locate a buttstock for a Ruko Pioneer hammerless 20 gauge SxS. Seeing as I don`t have pics of the shotgun I`m a little at a loss not knowing if it is an AYA or something imported into Canada. He seems to think it`s about 50 years only with some nice engraving on either side of the action. Is anyone familiar with this ``Ruko`` brand and where it may have originated? Many thanks in advance, I`ll try to post pics as I receive them.

Ruko was an importer of Spanish firearms (including other makes). The proofmarks on the shotgun will lend insight into details such as manufacturer, other info etc. Getting hold of a buttstock could well be a challenge. Numrich Gunparts may the place to start.

A friend of mine owns a well made spanish 12ga SxS imported by Ruko. Come to think of of it, I need to look closely at the proofmarks on that firearm too. His is an SST with screw-in chokes.....fortunately, despite the Basque make, the single trigger has presented no issues todate.

Rudolf Kopf. Off the boat about 1955 or so, then started selling high quality knives, scissors, etc. door to door. Branched into sporting goods. I bought a few boxes of RuKo .223 Rem in the 70s. I think it was made by PMC in South Korea.

I didn't know he sold shotguns as well.

Rudolph Kopf. Never made anything...had it made for his Brand...Usually middle of road quality ...his knives were Rapala etc his compasses were a good brand...His scopes were Redfield and Weaver, if I remember right...It was generally Dependable STUFF
