Just wondering if anyone has heard info about a whitetail in east side of the province scoring 217+ typical B&C? I've heard rumours but that isn't worth much. All I heard is that they are trying to keep things quiet until drying period is over and head is panel scored. Heard there was a big buck (206+) harvested near Glaslyn. Sounds like there have been some outstanding heads scored this season. What other stories are out there for the rumour mill?

I heard it was a 247 Non-typical, although i haven't seen the pictures and if my info is correct I know exactly where it was shot, and I know by whom, and is well within my old stompin grounds.(Note; All this is heresay at this point)

There is no new pending world records at this time.... I talked to quite a few Henry Kelsey measurers and they have all told me that if one was shot, there wouldn't be rumor. It took all of three days when Milo shot his in 93 for everyone to know about it. No matter how you try to keep something like that quiet, it's not possible.

On the flight back from another great whitetail hunt in Saskatchewan I was speaking to the guy next to me from Nova Scotia and he heard the new world record was shot on an indian reserve just south west of Saskatoon, but I have not heard anything else to back his story.

The tape will tell... I had an experience this fall with a guy around bragging about his 170+ whitetail. I'd never heard of a 4 point going that big before. Not to say it can't happen, but less likely. I taped it out at 145. Still a respectable buck, but just goes to show that there are a lot of people who don't know how the scoring system works.

On the other hand, I do know of a big non typical whitetail taken this fall. Easily over 220, but it hasn't been officially scored yet. It was taken in archery and is still covered in velvet. I've not seen it yet in person, but the pictures are impressive.

This morning I heard that there was a nice one taken around Foam Lake, nothing specific though.

Okay I've got it figured out,a picture of the Foam Lake buck can be seen if you google "Foam Lake Buck panel", it is actually 241 or some such non -typical, I heard another one was shot almost the same size.
