I wanted to thank you again for the .22 bolt you sent me, although it was determined to create it's own bit of history

.
I'm not sure if I said before, as I've magically managed to erase all my PMs, but the bolt was for my mother's target rifle, that had it's bolt put away somewhere clever for safekeeping (it's still there somewhere....very safe), so I was very happy to receive the one you sent. It fit wonderfully, so I blew the dust out of the peep sight, cased up the rifle and headed to the range. With an assortment of .22 ammo, I was ready to relive some childhood memories, and have yet another wonderful range day.
The first round flew off to 25 yards a touch high (not bad thought I) so I adjusted and went for #2..but instead of the snap of a .22, I got a grunching noise...very odd. Upon closer inspection, it was soon apparent that the extractor retaining clip did not like being sent so far from home, and in it's petulance, decided to break in half

. I carefully gathered up the parts of the bolt, and began researching where to find another little spring clip. To my joy I found them almost immediately...to my chagrin, they were living at Numrich, the land of insanely high shipping charges

. I knew I had a couple of buddies that needed various small gun parts, and with a couple of phone calls and e-mails, proceeded to try and herd cats. After a couple of false starts, and "I changed my minds" and "OH they have THIS TOO!! Wait!" I finally got my order off.
Last weekend a far-to-large-for-the-parts-maybe-that's-why-your-shipping-is-nuts box arrived, and I started throwing packing material around the house; found my tiny package of Enfield butt swivel screws right away, but where are my clips(ordered 3, that way I'll never need another one as long as I live)?
Called Numrich. Ahhh, order split in two! No idea why, but Okee Dokee. Giant box arrived, full of packing material (my son loves Numrich! Tons of bubble wrap for popping!) and nestled inside, extractor retaining clips! With only a mild amount of swearing I got one fitted, and now, thanks to you, after a 20 year hiatus I'm once again able to shoot my mother's NAACO .22
She seems to love CCI Standard Velocity so far...but there's lots left to test!
