Anyone heard of "Punta Hueca" .22LR ammo??

I have a chance to get a case of .22LR ammo off a guy who's father in-law passed away late last year.
He and his wife have nothing to do with guns and are just parting out his stuff and are not very "knowledgable" regarding ammo or weapons.
All he can tell me is the ammo is called Punta Hueca and it's .22LR and he has a full case untouched.
Anyone heard of it??

Well, punta hueca means hollow point in spanish. so ya got some spanish/mexican.whatever HP's of some sort.

Ok.....Just got off the phone with him.
He said it ALSO has the word ORBEA on the box!
Anyone heard of that make(r) of ammo???

Orbea is a bicycle manufacture in Spain, but they were originally a firearms manufacturer up until 1930.

I was also able to find a little bit about an old argentinian manufacturer called "Cartucheria Orbea Argentina" on oldammo.com

Maybe I'll do him a favour and just call the bomb squad for removal?!?!?

Wouldn't hurt to go look at it, maybe some other company made ammo under that name? If it looks old ya might not want to shoot it though....maybe some collector would want it?

It is Argentine. Sold widely years ago. I believe they are still in business.

It is WINCHESTER mfg'd look at headstamp, I have used 10k of them & if you don't want'em let me know- would take'm in a heartbeat
