Anyone here seen a Baikal IZH-94 Double Rifle in 9.3x74R ?

Well, if using it for dangerous game is in the mix, how about this one?

The side by side in 45-70 is crude and horribly stiff to open.Handled a couple briefly .......no thanks great gun to get yourself killed with for DG.

If you can afford to go to Africa you can likely afford something better than a Baikal...

Double Gun, that IS a very reasonable price if it's any good...

Also, wtf Slamfire? 9.3mm is not over 40cal...

Verney-Carron makes fine guns. I wouldn't hesitate at that price.

I have looked at that double a few times. I just can't get my head around the twenty inch barrels. It must be awfully muzzle light, which is what I don't want in a double.

Perhaps one of the cowboy action guys can tell me how those short barrel double shotguns are for handling?

My baikal 45/70 sxs has 23" barrels I believe. It swings well enough for me. It balances well with the small scope I have on it. I have very little issue hitting rolling muskmelons

Remember, there are two of those short barrels hanging out there which will move the weight some.

Also keep in mind that Anthony is a hell of a good guy. When I bought my Merkel he agreed to let me handle it with the option to send it back if it didn't fit.

Who's the enabler now?
