Cleaned my rifle yesterday and heard "ping" something dropped on the floor.
The bolt release/stop fell out.
It looks to me like there is three pieces to the thing, the bolt stop, a small spring (which I found thank god) and then there should be a pin of some sort.
I think the pin is missing and I have no idea where I lost it of how long it's been lost for.

If anyone has one of these rifles and can tell me what the dimensions of this pin should be I'd appreciate it.
I'm going to have to find a replacement somewhere

Some time ago I was looking for metric sized pins and I purchased a bunch of metric sized drill bits. When I need a metric pin, I cut a piece of the drill shank and use it. Works great for me. The drill bits are probably a lot cheaper than buying an actual gun part from a manufacturer or parts supplier.

Thats a good idea, I may just do that even if it's just temporary so I can go hunting in a few weeks.
I got in touch with Stoeger at $14's this is the most expensive pin I've ever bought!

A few years ago I bought a bunch of roll pins from brownells a little over an inch long. I use those to replace broken or lost pins however I don't know if a roll pin would be right for your application. They're cheap though.

I should buy a punch of pins just to have around.
14$'s for a pin is robbery but it's probably the fastest way I would get one this close to deer season.

If you get the right diameter of dowel pin - they're hardened steel and can be ground to length - carefully. probably want to radius the end(s)
