there are a few that are non-restricted and come in calibers that are a-ok for hunting power, so I'm curious if anyone actually does. the thought of having an RA XCR in 6.8mm is intriguing...

I've uzed CZ-58 on gophers, 7.62x39 does a number on em' even with surplus FMJ. there's a fair bit of SP ammo around for these though, should do the trick fine for larger critters. wouldn't trust 5.56 though.

I've used my CZ 52/57 in 7.62x39 on quite a few deer, and it works almost as well as my Winchester 30/30.
It is somewhat cumbersome to carry though.
My dad has nick named it "The Club" because of its carry characteristics.

I use my SL8 for varmint, coyotes and even up to deer if I really want to push the envelope. And for this is for starpuss

I just ordered an OD Green Robinson Arms XCR in 223 my plan is to use it for hunting predators more than anything else...

If I decide to get a 6.8 or 7.62X39 conversion kit I'll even hunt deer with it...
