Does full metal jacketed non-expanding bullet exclude a monolithic solid?
Are they non expanding and metal? Unbelievable.

It says "full metal jacketed non-expanding".
Also interesting is the handgun Section "a firearm that is designed, altered or intended to be aimed and fired by the action of one hand or that has a barrel less than 305 mm in length".
Now the BFR is designed and intended to be fired two handed. Since I watched Law and Order, my interpretation of this is that a BFR with a 306mm barrel would be legal to hunt with in BC.
Except how would you get around the Federal overall minimum length?
they are non expanding and metal...but they're not FMJ. they have no jacket whatsoever. Are they non expanding and metal? Unbelievable.

You do realize that you just provided a factual example of Ontario being an example of common sense with regard to firearms and hunting?
Do you realize what you've done?

Hard to hunt with a restricted firearm though
Given the definitions in the Criminal Code and the manufacturers recommendation to use 2 hands, why is the BFR restricted? The key point for handgun is that it is designed, altered or intended to be aimed and fired with one hand. The BFR is none of these things. Nor is it semi-auto, it does not fold or telescope.

BFR is a handgun style revolver frame. Even rifles/shotguns built on handgun revolver frames with 20" barrels are restricted.
You know that not every idea that pops into your head has to become a CGN thread, eh?
Where does the CC define handgun style? Why are revolving rifles restricted? The first revolver that comes to mind is the Puckle Gun, nobody's idea of a handgun.
I often load 500gr winchester solids in my 458wm or for one barrel of my 4570 sxs. I use them if i need to follow up on a bear in my 458 if im carrying it and when i carry the sxs for baiting i generally keep a solid in one barrel and an expanding in the other
I think he refer to finish it off so the animal without suffering while the solid round won't make s mess or ruin unnecessary meat.fmj for bear?
