I got a little buck with the muzzie on wedsday afternoon last week during the muzzleloader season here in Ontario, area 80.

Where are the pictures? What did you shoot him with. I was hunting around Arthur. Nothing this year. I have some venison in the freezer from the archery season and still another couple of weeks to add some more. I always purchase the extra tags.

I shot two so far, one with my centerfire and one with my inline, So I'm pretty much done. Next year though I'm taking out my sidelock for deer.
But this winter I plan on bringing it along for rabbits.

It's an Ontario thing. We have an optional "controlled hunt", the second one in our WMU is Dec 1-7 for Shotgun, Muzzleloaders. There is no rifle season for deer south of the French River (that i know of).

So Rem 870, rifled barrel, sabot slug, a scope, and 2 way radios, blaze orange, thermos of hot coffee and off we go... and hope like heck it snows this weekend!

We just have shotgun areas..... and no bp season

I'd settle for a flintlock season even, as I understand it was the modern inline rifles that led to that change (nothing against inlines though).

here in Sk. the BP season is after bow and before rifle...or shotgun in the wmu's.

I used to think that muzzle loaders were for folks that couldn't shoot a bow,but I'm starting to like the "time warp" factor of old iron...thanks to this forum and you guys.

I'm by no means tagged out, but two muzzleloader moose down on the same day tends to prematurely end the season. I ended up donating 2 deer to the food bank. I have until 20 Dec to fill another tag, but the weather has turned for the worse.
