Anyone importing Ithaca pumps anymore?

When I called Ithaca sometime in Jan-Feb they werent even producing shotguns at the time, said they had no raw materials. They will put your name on a waiting list for 'if and when' they start producing again. I wanted a 28g and he said min a year before those were made again.
 
I priced a 28ga out about 3 years ago now case colored with exhibition walnut upgrade and 28" choked ribbed barrel and 26" choked ribbed and it was $3400 usd. Plus import
 
Bought my 28 gauge Ithaca Model 37 the first year they came out.Bagged a fair bit of game with it.It was the first 28 gauge Ithaca Model 37 sold in Canada.
 
The 28 gauge Ithaca Model 37 was introduced in 2009.The numbers started at 101.The first 100 numbers were set aside for special runs,if they were needed in the future.Some frames were manufactured in 2008,but the Ithaca Model 37 in 28 gauge was not introduced until 2009.

What the numbers and letters in the Ithaca Model 37 28 gauge serial numbers mean.For example ,serial number M3728100777.M3728(Model 37 28 gauge),10(Frame manufactured in 2010) and 0777(The 777th 28 gauge manufactured.

Thank you 28 gauge. Now I know mine was 352nd of the year it was manufactured.

Glad it was of help,Brutus.I believe the number at the end, in this case 0777 was the number made to that time,not just for that year.Also thinking on it,if the first 100 numbers were held back ,the numbers starting at 101,it would be the 677th 28 gauge Ithaca Model 37 made,not the 777th one.:)

3macs, I believe yours was the second Ithaca Model 37 28 gauge sold in Canada.At the time Prophet River was the importer of Ithaca Guns in Canada.Clay had three 28 gauge Ithaca Model 37 guns imported at the time.I got the first ,you got the second and I have no idea who got the third one.:)

I will be honest. I thought I was nuts to pay a grand for an old ithaca pump but being 28ga I had to have it. Then it arrived and I opened the box and the quality was so evident it was well worth every penny

I too just had to have an Ithaca Model 37 in 28 gauge when they came out.So I grabbed the first one I could find in Canada.Yes the cost was not cheap,but it was an Ithaca 37 and 28 gauge.:)

Yes sir. Not late season. But definitely early fall season. Once the snow falls I really gauge future weather. I scared myself two years ago I tripped over a hidden and rusty barbed wire fence. It tore my trouser leg, cut my shin, but all I could think about was keeping my 28 from hitting the dirt. ;-)
Once November hits full on winter it gets put away & my circa 1971 20 gauge takes its place.

I came across it by mere luck. I was first day out if camp rotation and I called up Ellwood Epps on pure speculation.
Once they described it, I couldn't pay for it fast enuf.
Just like yourself I can spprecuate a quality product.
It had some very light blemishes on the wood from previous owner. I can't believe he sold it to Epps.
 
Used mine a lot when I first got it.Of late years the upland game has been way down in my area and I have not gone much.when I did I was using another 28 gauge.Yes the 28 gauge Ithaca Model 37 guns are nice and well made.I really like the old style take down system they use, that threads into the receiver.Most guns made now a days, are held on only by the magazine cap.
