I would too, just got a new barrel and a bunch of new parts for the Norinco receiver. Any love?
Or do you Calgary guys maybe want to invest in a vice and receiver wrench? I guess that's a fair bit of cash to use it once.
I know a read something a while back, I think it was done by Barney actually, where he used a drill press vice and a bench vice, or it might have been two drill press vices.
I kind of think if you took your time and were careful, you could close a vice, with sine cardboard sheet in it to protect the barrel and receiver, around the barrel where the op rod runs near the threads, in such a way that it wouldn't really be a clamping force (enough to keep it from falling but that's it), but that the jaws, protected by cardboard, would "hook" the barrel in place so you could attach the drill press vice to the receiver and use that as a the wrench. Princess auto has wicked deals on either of those vices if you don't have then.... I may just get up the sack to try this if no one has a barrel vice and receiver wrench in town
