May 2008's Petersen's Hunting has a bit of a review done by Wayne Van Zwoll who has nothing but good things to say for it, especially for the price. I haven't found any place that sells them up here yet though. In fact, everything I've perused so far has it in a positive light and being so cost effective, I'm interested. :)

well Blargon, that's what I read in the other threads about the Marlin XL7...buy a Savage, tho the Savage is $150 more. granted the Steven's has something about on par, but, that's not the Marlin and that's what I wish to look at and consider. :)

i wrote lebaron, epps and sir about a month ago, they all gave me prices somewhere between 320$ to 375$. special order from all 3. they all said 1-2 month waiting period for black syn in .270. hope this helps

"...nothing but good things to say for it..." Gun rag writers never say anything bad about their advertiser's products. Doesn't pay to bite the hand that feeds you.

fair enough statement, but this is more then just magazines. alternate forum hits have good things to say. my firearm hobbyist friend in the US says he's only heard good things about them. seems like they're similar to the newer Mossberg 4x4. cheap but effective. :)

hmmm, looking on HBC's site, it seems that Omineca Source for Sports has the XL7 or it's about to arrive. website seems to be down right now, so I can't check to see if they have any stock. :(

well, got an email from Omineca with a quote for the rifles. $320 for the non Camo models and $350 for the Camo. they have some of the Camo's on order, but no ETA currently...so that's a bit of a downer, but one can hope sooner rather then later.
