Anyone in canada shoot ISSF free pistol?

Used to shoot 50M (and other bullseye mach) years ago... We had between 15-30 shooters come out twice a week to shoot a 22lr and CF bullseye match. Than another 4-5 come out on Sunday morning for free pistol...

Then the club lost its indoor range downtown... and everything went down hill.

These days, the Toz35 comes out once or twice a year. I keep myself entertained with air pistol (that I can shoot in the basement), and recently got into archery. If you think 50M offhand with a 22lr is fun, 50M with a recurve is a barrel full of monkeys!

I know a couple of free pistolers, they shoot at a 20yd range with reduced targets. I see a few every year at an annual match, but yeah not too many of them. Maybe 8 or 10 at the most. And most of them are old hands, there's only one guy there under 30.

Why in hell would you fling out personal insults at someone who shoots PPC. You might want to think about changing your user name to something more appropriate.

Try Massengill!!

You missed "lol" and ;) if you re-read my statement with other recent information from others here, I was closer to the truth then yourself.

May I suggest your skin is a tad thin if you really really believe my sarcasm was insulting versus opinion, you can complain to the moderators here on CGN and see if they agree with you sir?

BTW, your post was also off topic. The present discussion is about a bullseye discipline not PPC.

Have a good day now.

We have a couple nice Hammerli free pistols here, excellent condition Model 106 $750 and Model 120 $650 Both were top of the line in the past, now relegated to really good starter guns.

I think the OP asked about old school shooters which apparently is where you consider PPC to be. As for being thin skinned, nope I'm not offended in any way, oops I see I forgot to type in "lol" at the end of my last post after the Massengil comment. Oh well I am pretty old...........LOL.

Have great day sir!

I mean that in all honesty.

Cheers.....

Targetshooting ca runs an online postal match. As well, the RA Centre in Ottawa has several free pistol shooters, who run a monthly match. PM me and i can put you in touch with the guys.

I don't shoot free pistol, but years ago I acquired a Vostok MU2-3 (for mystery reasons ) that I've had out a half dozen times.

I think the slow pace of the shoot contradicts what people want. Go fast, make noise, leave a mess :p.

I'm thinking I'll have to haul out the Ruskie and give her a shoot sometime soon.

(E)
