I’m looking for your recommendations to slick up a GP100 in .44 Special. A trigger job is all I really have in mind, unless you have experience with other upgrades. What do you think?

I changed the springs on my 357 mag .
Wolff's 10 pounds for hammer, 8 pounds for return.
A lot of difference.

There's some great YouTube videos on disassembly and polishing the trigger.
The spring replacement makes a big difference too. I replaced my sp101s and it made a huge difference. The Wolfe spring kit comes with a few different weights. You may find the lightest doesn't work with some primers, just go one heavier or switch to the soft federal small pistol primers for reliability.

Just put the Wolf springs in mine, big improvement. Very rarely get a light strike, reload with cci primers.

if you want someone to do it I would reco mmend you get in touch with Rusty Woods. Not reaslly in your neck of the woods (pun intended) but he does great work on revolvers.

I have a GP100 and it was not my favourite revolver, compared to my Smiths.

I had Rodger Kotanko at Dark International do a trigger job on it (I think he charged $65) and it is like a new gun and one of my favorites to shoot.

You can drive down to his place, or mail it to him. I have done both. He is quite fast, too.

Call him at 519 428-3127
