Am going to my guns this weekend (are with my dad who has a POL, I am between houses right now). My castle nut is loose, and I haven't been able to find a set for myself yet.

Is there anyone in London ON who has one I could borrow? I would need to borrow it by Friday, and could return it sunday.

Sorry I don't live near you, but you could try what I did...

...I made castle nut pliers using my bench grinder, dremel and a vicegrip C-clamp. It took about 20 minutes.

I took a very small alen key (that fits into the 'castle' of that nut) and cut two 1/4" lengths. I then welded them to that pair of vice grips.

I do live in Woodstock if you'd like to borrow mine. I honestly only have $10 invested in them so if you walked away with them, I suppose I wouldn't be out much :D

Seriously though, if you have trouble making yours or can't get any, pm me. I was in your spot once and its the worst feeling because there's NOTHING out there that you can use easily to fix your problem.

PS - we are having an M14 clinic this weekend at East Elgin Sportsman Association in Aylmer on saturday. What better place to not only fix your problem, but learn everything you need to know about the M14!! Best way to spend $35 if you ask me ;)

I'm actually heading back to london Saturday night. I have a football game noon on sunday.

If you're in collingwood a lot, then I will definitely contact you. My parent's farm is just across the beaver valley on the Eric Winkler Parkway.
