So the story is that I have 2000 rounds of primed military 7.62 brass on my hands. It's a little corroded and dirty:(. I have an ultrasonic cleaner and obviously can't get these primers wet.

So I'm wondering if there is anyone in the community that might be willing to tumble the brass for me. Willing to pay a reasonable fee and will deliver and pick-up.

PM me if you can help or post if you have any alternatives for me.

I for one, would not tumble primed brass, because the crap on the brass, and in the media, could easily make it through the flash holes, and contaminate the primers. At the very least, the crap could partly obstruct the flash holes.

And if you bring it to me ill do it but it will take a few days.. And currently I use red walnut so they might have a little dust. I'm in keswick if you have any one closer I won't be offended

Thanks guys for all the responses. The brass is from someone on the EE. Not much background provided except that he's had this stuff in his basement for a decade and isn't shooting much anymore- so he was doing a clearout. I was very happy to get 7.62 brass at the price I did since it is very hard to find these days. It should last much longer than commercial .308 brass.

My research on the CBC head stamp says that it's Brazilian military brass form 75-77. There are warnings about ammo from this manufacturer at that time - a small tendency to explode when fired. My guess is that someone pulled the bullets and dumped the powder intending to reload but never got around to doing this. The primers are staked and I'd guess that they are boxer. Any way to tell from how they look in the cartridge?

I'll load these up and then give Skip a PM if he's still willing. My concern is that the verdigris on the shells may affect chambering.
