Anyone interested in S&W model 10 with 4.2" heavy barrel "Canadian"?

Just wondering, since my personal preference is usually slightly different from the general population.
Old school, blued 38 Special classic sixgun with walnut stock and legal, heavy barrel?
Something like this...

...just NIB. I know it's more like a day-dreaming, but maybe if there will be enough people interested, we may get some attention and in a few years bring these beauties here?
S&W still makes them, just with 4" barrel. What would You say? Thanks.

they are nice, the triggers on them can be pretty sweet, myself i like the model 64's which are the stainless versions.

The stainless is more practical, but the sights are more difficult to use, especially on light (white or grey) background as it comes with the fixed sights.
Painting the front sight with the black marker helps, but I much prefer blued ones for this reason. I always scored higher while using 10 over 64.

I would buy one, but it needs to have a seven-shot un-fluted cylinder, full underlug barrel, fibre optic sights, top AND bottom accessory rails, stainless finish, ported muzzle, alloy frame…

Nah, just kidding. That picture is *exactly* the kind of revolver I like. I've already got a few classic Smiths so I'm not really in the market for one (famous last words, I know), but that might move to the top of the list.

I think that model 10 may bring a lot of memories for many of us here.
It's certainly a sentimental gun, but also one with wonderful balance, pointability and trigger.
Newer models can easily digest +P rounds without any risk involved either.

Something I would consider. Some of those old "cop" guns were things of beauty. Too bad most of them had 4" barrels. Thanks Allan Rock, that 1/4" sure must've saved thousands of lives you douche.

I like the classics. If one of those were offered to me when I was in funds, I'd buy. I don't quite like the grips pictured, but they are easily changeable. I dislike stainless guns.

As much as the 10 is a classic I think that the adjustable sights Model 14 might be a better option. It's not nearly as ammo specific since you can adjust the sights. Meanwhile the model 10 needs one or two specific loads where the POI matches the POA.

This exact model 4.2" with this handle in a 38 caliber, yes !!

I agree !!

I would definitely be interested in a Kframe 4.2" gun.

I had a M15 with a cutdown 4.25" barrel that I still regret selling. They have beautiful balance and super quick to shoot.

Model 10 is currently part of the classic line from S&W and sadly it comes with the internal lock.
Blued revolver however doesn't look so bad equipped with one than the stainless one...well at least IMO.
I can't talk about the price and any details, as I'm just trying to build some interest first.
There is no chance for anything till we have a crowd of potential buyers first. I would imagine that we can contact one of the importers and talk with them later.
Delay for such project will be counted rather in years than in months though as S&W is rather busy these days.

That would be more like model 15 so called Combat Masterpiece.
I can tell You that the revolver pictured in this thread is rather accurate with any load I was using.
