Anyone know any sponsoring dealers with the 50 round drums for a Pietta PPS-50 in?

As the title says, I am looking for one of the third party drum mags for my Pietta PPS-50. I have the wood stock (and what a beautiful piece of hardwood), and the 30-round curved stick mag.

First day at the range today, and I found the rifle worked flawlessly! Not a single failure - some luck finally comes MY way!?

mind you, I was only putting about 20 rounds in at a time. I do that for a couple hundred rounds on a new semi, because I think it breaks the spring in. I may be dreaming, lol, but it always seems that failures are more common from new mags when they are filled to the brim, right off the bat...

Anyway...I have heard some pretty bad reviews about the drum mag - does anyone know if it's been sorted out, or if it's all down to the loading somehow?

I really like the look with the drum...but I wanted the surety of the stick first!
 
They seem to be all married to a rifle. With the terrible reviews the 50 round "Black Dog" drum mags get, I certainly would NOT have been happy to spend what I had to spend on this rifle, only to have bought the "tactical" package (why??), and the to have the drum fail every 3-4 rounds, as many many reports say.

Anyway, I shall let this OP hang loose in the rimfire section, perhaps someone will come along that has the answer. Meanwhile, any questions about this rifle, if I can help, I will.
So far I really like it: compact carbine, a nice mix of hardwood and that mean-looking barrel shroud - like the old Russian pp-43 submachine guns, that's what it looks like - to ME, anyway.

And, honestly, with the 30 round mag, it ate everything I fed it, right down to a handful of Thunderbolts! Not a single failure, what a refreshing change from the 10/22's with aa922 mags, the SCAR 22 and the 715t - all of which are reported to be rife with failures.

In MY case, this Pietta PPS-50, with the 30 round stick, ran flawlessly for the first 300 rounds. Trigger is a bit heavy, but I honestly "felt" it start to break in, or perhaps I just found my rhythm, but by the end of the afternoon, the Pietta was firing as fast as my 10/22 ever did....except a 30 round mag instead of the reliable 10-round Ruger mag.

However, I have a GSG 110-round drum for my Nomad/10/22, and it has been working 10 times better than the three aa922 mags I have.
Although, now that, thanks to the GSG, I have at least 1000 rounds through the Nomad 10/22, today I tried a sleeved aa922 mag and had only one FTE.
Usually, I get 4-5. Perhaps the rifle/stock is limbering up, thanks to the GSG mag that lets me really hammer away - I love that mag!

That is why I am fighting so hard to stand up for Mossberg 715t owners who may be about to lose their 25-round mags, as Mossberg launches their mundane and childish "Duck Commander" pistol: basically a chopped 715t, with less barrel, forestock and no butt. But I bet it will sell for more than the rifle, lmao!

I truly hope that Pietta does not make the same blunder, as to just chop a rifle and call it a "pistol".

And now that's on the record.

Love this little rifle.

I wanted to be sure I had the stick mag, which has great reviews, and then try the drum...so if the drum didn't work well, or required mods, I wouldn't fall out of love, lol!

I found with the stick mag, she would cycle everything I tried right down to some Thunderbolts! Mind you, I only filled the mag to around 20: I do that with new mags at first, just habit.
 
I managed to locate a metal 50 round drum mag, but it came with no instructions, nothing, I went from my glorious success of the GSG drum (I even made a video how to load it), to this durned thing, which I cannot get a single round to load into it.

Does anybody have any idea how to load this little metal Pietta drum?? There is a "tool" which appears to be a guide, but I see no way, like the GSG, to rotate the wheel and make room for the rounds to be pushed in.

There is, of course, that one youtube vid of the guy that takes his apart to load it, but mine doesn't seem to jut pop apart like his....I have visions of finally getting it to come apart, and springs flying across the room!

Honestly, there should be a rule: You may NOT sell a product a "NEW IN BOX" is that box does NOT include some sort of freaking instructions, link to website, anything!

I cannot get even ONE (1) round loaded!
