Anyone Know Anything About Colt Peacekeepers? Double Action

Hey all.

The Colt Peacekeeper. 357 revolver built from 1985 to 1987.

Anyone know about them?

Mk V frame, vent rib barrel (without the full length under lug), matte (looked like parkerising, but I don't remember if it actually was or not). As I recollect. - dan

Well, they never made a lot of them, so it all depends how much you want one. - dan

According to the Blue Book Of Gun Values, it should be worth $395 in 100% condition. The shop is/was asking $595 (US) in an auction. As the starting point for bidding. Gun didn't sell.

Any idea Dan, if there were many that made it into Canada?

I've probably seen three or four over the years. At the time they were introduced, they were considered an economy class way to get a Colt revolver, like the Agent, which also had the "parkerised" finish (didn't need polishing or blueing, cheaper to make). I don't think I'd pay $595 for one, unless I needed it to fill a hole in a collection. Now if you come across a Viper or Boa, those are pretty unusual. - dan
