I was just wondering if anyone out there has had any experiance with Hawke rifle scopes. Any input would be appreciated

I'll be watching this thread with interest. Contemplating a Varmint SF 16x as my next scope. Some pretty great reviews of them online, especially for the $.

Yeah, I bought one of their Varmint 6-24X44SF scopes for a CZ527. Worked great on that rifle, but, when I sold the rifle the buyer turned his nose up at the scope so I put it on my truck gun. It's been sitting on that NEF SB2 in 30-06 for awhile now with no problems. For $225 it worked out better than most bargin basement scopes I've tried. I am a leupold fan and will be for sometime, but, for what I considered a throw away, it's done very well, even if I has no resale value.

Yeah, the Frontier SF 4-16x42 w/MD reticle is a great scope. It's made in Japan, and is roughly equal to the Elite 4200 IMO, with the Hawke possibly having a slight edge in the optics department.

Wolverine Guns & Tackle in Reddeer has them and they are on sale right now. I just put the Eclipse 30 6x24x50sf on my new Savage 116 7mm today. Listed for 329.00 ipaid 279.00 on sale. I like it so far very clear even on 24 power and nice eye relief on 24 power as well. Hope it will stand the test of time. I see wolverine supplies lists them.
