Trying to get info regarding the new 940 JM model coming to Canada? Maybe people here can help me decide which semi I should go with. I’m sure this is something many a gunnut has wondered. Trying to decide between the beretta 1301 tactical, Remington versamax tac, or a Mossberg 930/940 JM pro.
Here’s why.
The 1301 is just a really slick shotgun to me, the price is a bit of a turn off but not enough. What I have read about these is that the first versions of these had a particular issue with the bolt release and double feeding shells, which was easily remedied with any number of aftermarket companies solutions. Apparently the newer versions of the 1301 this is no longer an issue to fix? Any First hand experiences with this would be great.
The Versamax Tactical. Again, many a good review online, less turn offs here price wise. Call me a bandwagon b*tch but I’m just not thrilled with Remington since freedom group took over. I would still trust an 870 with my life, but maybe not as confident in their newer platforms maybe. Maybe someone has input on Remingtons customer service? I would like to know what kind of support they provide, where other companies I know really stand behind their products.
Mossberg 930/940, I already have a field model 930 that I’ve run quite a bit and have familiarity with so the natural thing would be to stick with a known platform and controls. I do like the 930 JM pro or possibly just the security model seeing how we cannot get 930 spx in Canada. I am familiar with these and the mods required to make them run really well. My big issue here is the 940. I cannot find literature online as to why they are not in Canada yet or if they are coming? Maybe it’s something simple and obvious to everyone else like ammo capacity or something, should I wait for the 940 IF it is coming or just build another 930?
Any info regarding these guns would be great, I’m aware of the plethora of guns that are filling up this category of shotgun like the stoeger and Benelli M2, etc, I’m mostly into these three. Cheers.
