I am waiting on a Jericho 941 steele frame in .45acp, but I am also leaning towards picking up a 1911. I have more then I need for a Jericho, but not enough for both.

Anyone know anything to worry about with the Jericho? I figure if it is good enough for the Israeli's it is good enough for me!

Thanks dudley, that is a great review, and it is great seeing it in action.

Toybuilder, I am on the wait list with Kodiac. They should be coming into Canada in a month or two.

I've got a 9mm versions fresh from P&D, it's the full sized steel. I don't think you can get the short or the compact here in Canada. Pretty sure Kodiak is talking about bringing in the full-sized in 45ACP.

Yes, we have the full sized 45 ordered. We're just waiting for the export permits to be approved.

I don't believe there are any 45 in Canada yet, as there is no FRT at this time.

Can the pistol handle .45?
It was made for .40 was it not? That is why 9mm is great in a Jericho, it is over engineered.

.45 could be too much for the frame?

.45 acp is a low pressure round. If it can handle the .40 why not the .45? I haven't heard of too many failures from a .45, now .40 that is a different story. For awhile I was loading my 9mm and .45 with the same charges of bullseye, the 9mm being a much smaller cartridge so that should say alot. Now I admit the .45 rounds were on the soft side and the 9mm pretty hot, but it just shows the pressure differences the 2 rounds are designed around, and the .40 is the hottest.

Took mine to the range yesterday, bought it new and cleaned/lubed it up for the trip. Great gun, more recoil/muzzle flip than my pervious Grand Power K100 but that was to be expected.

Had one FTF and I'm pretty sure that was my fault as loading the mags is a PIA. WOW, talk about strong springs :( Hopefully they "break-in" a little :)

Cleaning the gun is a breeze as is field stripping. #### the hammer, push slide back to line up the dots, push out slide release and the slide comes off easy-peasy. Pull out the recoil spring and out comes the barrel. Really nice set-up, very friendly.

Think this little beastly will be around a long time.

Kodiac was bringing it in but had problems. You can get your name on the wait list but it will be many months now ;(
