I think I'm in love... and NOT an SSD repro. First I have seen for sale in maybe 5 years? The last one was more like $15K.

I doubt I can do a better job than the Forgotten Weapons folks...

They were made by Gustloff Werke as part of he Volksgewehr program to arm the volkssturm in late 44/early 45. A VERY rare gun today. Semi-auto in 7.92 Kurz.

Gas-DELAYED blowback ("Barnitzske System").

One of the neatest operation systems to have been developed: NO moving parts.

I just wish they were a little more common and a bit less $$$. I would really like to play with one of those.

tiriaq - do you know if the FRT has an entry for the SSD copy? I understand it's identical in every way but markings, so (hopefully) should not need to be tested as a new firearm and perhaps the FRT already exists????
