Anyone know of any plans to return 32 acp

....to normal status......??? My old WW2 CZ/BOMISCHE WAFFENFABRIK resents being referred to as a "Saturday" and wants to go to the range.....I had hoped the tories would return to something that made sense....

Well... take it to the range.

It's 12.6, but nothing illegal about transporting under an ATT.

it is difficult to find ammo,I do not have exp reloading and from what I understand all things .32 have been reclassified as prohibited.feel free to enlighten me if I have overlooked something.....

Welcome to CGN. CanadaAmmo has .32ACP in stock. If you already own a .32ACP pistol with the proper reg. papers, you can get an ATT to get it to your range,
if it's one that allows restricted/prohib handguns. It's been this way for quite a while. I'm assuming you have 12/6 on your RPAL.

thx...i'll check....i assumed i was grandfathered in as i have owned it and had a lic since the 60's and a pal now ...i found ammo at xtreme....a bit of a hike from here,but ......in other news considering a cz shadow nine for ispc,and was sad to hear that revolvers are a rarity there......sigh.......something about those old designs that i always liked,same as a full stock enfield says so much more to me than the plastic stuff of today......

I assume you mean RPAL with 12.6 on the back

12(6)handgun ......and the same on the other side for for acquisition......i don't see RPAL printed anywhere.....what i do know is that in the 46 years i've owned my cz it has gone through ..... rigid reclassification.....

RPAL is restricted, youre good to go, get a range membership and get an ATT then take your 12/6 handguns to the range.

And you can buy some more 12/6 handguns if you want !

Some words of wisdom so you are not totally disappointed one day:

Be sure to always send in the renewal for your RPAL well before it expires so it is sure to be renewed without expiring. If it lapses for even one day you are screwed and they will take your 12.6 prohib status away from you forever!

The other thing is if you sell your last or only 12.6 prohib your 12.6 grandfathering on your RPAL goes bye bye forever. Back in the day after C-68 was passed I came into possession of a large gun collection from my old friend which included a bunch of junk prohib revovlers. I ended up selling these and even some non working frames to people who wanted to keep their grandfathered 12.6 status but sell their good handguns as they were scared of the future.

[Yes, the Libs made it this way so we could be totally screwed, and the bureaucrats just love to screw us over. It is no fun dealing with the b*stards, so just keep your paperwork up to date.....like living in a dictatorship. And when we old farts with the 12.6 classification are gone the Libs and gun haters will be dancing on our graves. Another price we pay for living in the greatest country in the world.]

i guess that begs the question,the aging elephant in the room........what happens when we start to get older and have fewer people to vouch for our good character.....i know people who will be facing that soon....some urban dwellers have people who like us but are opposed to guns in general......seems like our "beloved" libs have set up a de facto sunset clause ...... i still recall the long line up of middle aged guys in a winnipeg shopping mall ......

A sad truth. And when we are gone so the 12.6 handguns that cannot be converted to restricted will either be deactivated or I am thinking that will be outlawed and they will be cut up and smelted down into recycled metal.

Yup, so you may give it to your spouse, sibling, child, or grandchild as long as they have a valid RPAL. They can't buy more 12.6 themselves, but they can have (and pass on) the ones you give them.

I've obtained well over a dozen 12.6 from my wife, who got them from my father-in-law.

Like cdill said, make sure you don't give away your last one, or you lose your 12.6!!

ALSO: sounds like you may have a POL (possession ONLY, NOT possession AND ACQUISITION). If so, I believe this will change after C42 passes, and you will be able to buy more firearms.
