Anyone know the case capacity of the .408 Cheytac?

Do a search for the 338 AM. It is a 408 CT shortened and necked down. Built buy Kirby Allen of Montana. It shoots a 300gr SMK at 3500fps +. Put that into a ballistic calculator.

Actually the 338 am is not a shortened 408,but based on the full length blown out 408 ct round. This weekend showed that 3500 fps is not quite obtainable, high 3400's was. This was with 150 grns of powder(151 peirced the primer)
If you would like a water capacity of that case holler as I have quite a few down in the basement,I also have the standard cheytec case and could provide that as well if you wished

I am interested in the stock volume...... Im leaning towards a .50 based on this case to take advantage of the large rifle primer and the widely available 50 cal bullets.
I want to run a few models on this combination, to see how much loss in velocity.
Kind of a Canadian answer, for a question few would ask.

Richard,

Where did you get your brass from, meaning what brand is it? Have you and Kirby looked into any of the TTI stuff as far as consistency and hardness go?
