I found a couple of these at our range.
The head has,on top going from left to right; Nagant *(star),F,*,L,*,G*.
or G_L_F depending on how ya look at it.

Russian Nagant Ammo (for handgun, I should say revolver). 7.62mmx38mm. Not a common round. So, check the case size, if it's 38mm, it means I'm right.

A guy at the range I used to shoot at has one, if I remember correctly the cylinder moves forward when the revolver is cocked. Here is a good link for the cartridge.
