Hey guys, I have a question. Earlier this year, I contacted m14doctor, otherwise known as 45acpking, and asked him to customise 2 of my m14s. Based on his rating, I figured he'd do a good job. Well, long story short, at the end of february/ beginning of march he said the rifles were finished and that he'd mail them upon payment. I sent him a emt, then didnt hear from him for two weeks. No tracking number, no pms, no emails, no calls, nothing. Then on the 17th or so he sent me an email stating that he screwed up on my address and the rifles were returned to him. Ok, fine. No problem. However, he said that he'd be in touch in 48hrs to let me know when he shipped them, and since then I havent heard a peep. He still hasnt sent me a tracking number, and I have no clue if he shipped the rifles, or where they are even. Anyone on here know whats going on? Ive sent him multiple pms on here and emails to his new email, and even phoned once. I'm wondering whats taking so long for him to get back to me, and why he wont even contact me to tell me if he's shipped them or even to give me a damn tracking number. Did I get screwed? It shouldnt take 2 weeks to ship 2 rifles from BC to AB, even with snailmail.

I hope so he has been off the radar for a while . I wonder how long it takes this thread to disappear like the other ones !

Guys this has come up a few times. The TL;DR version is that his son has been in a serious accident that has disrupted his life and his ability to work. He's going to clear up his backlog but it's going to take a long time.

First I'm hearing about any of this; and I can respect the fact his life is probably way upside down right now.

That said, a couple things.

1. You all should have nothing but patience for these type of threads because by responding you are protecting this guys reputation. If you put up a wave of "oh noes another post in teh forumz!!!11" then people will just think they've been burned. It doesn't help, and if you aren't contributing you might as well not be posting.

2. I wouldn't be inclined to do a bunch of searching the forums when someone who has my firearms *and* my money stops responding. OP is totally justified in making a thread and asking what's up and deserves a little support.

3. I hope m14doctor's son is alright, prayers are with him and his family.

yeah, Ive read that thread before, and Im aware of the recent accident involving his son. I get that theres more important stuff happening in his life than shipping my rifles on time. But, I gots to have my guns!!!! The wait is killing me :( I just wish he'd send me a pm with a tracking number so I could follow along and play "wheres my m14?"

This makes this thread even more stupid.

Caveat emptor.

So you admit you are heartless. This thread is the ultimate whine on CGN currently.

Glad I made your day. I'm not whining, and I accepted there would be delays in Thomas' life when I sent the rifles to him. I knew about his son before I sent him the rifles. I sympathize with him right now. Don't get me wrong, I do. I'm sure his life is flipped upside down, and I can appreciate the stress he's under. I hope his son makes a healthy, speedy recovery as soon as possible, and Thomas can resume his retirement. However, I've been patient. I'd call waiting over a month patient, wouldn't you?? All I ask from him is a simple tracking number. I started this thread mainly to see if anyone on here spoke with him and knew how he was doing, and to assure me that he was a reputable fellow, not to get a couple assclowns hanging around and delivering snide remarks. Now, if you have nothing productive to say, go elsewhere.

Infidel29 isn't a clown, no need for that. Thomas sent me my stuff, just took longer (mags and parts). He'll come through, if you want it fast, you pay more or do it yourself is the only answers I'm afraid. This is just symptomatic of the world today; want it now, yesterday, live tracking, notifications of phases, etc. I'm not slagging you infidel29, but just commenting on society today, the expected pace has gone mad even from 10 years ago. I have a very pricey custom action on order, a complete custom, and don't hear from the guy for up to a year at a time, and expect 2-4 years to produce. That's one man shops for you, just give it some patience (a lot more than currently).
