Anyone load for the 8x60S?

I bought 2 BRNO 21H's in 8x60S (.323).
Looked around the internet for load data. Found a bit of data.
I have been forming 30/06 brass to make the 8x60S. Trimming to about 60mm which seems to be the general consensus. Need specific trim to length to be certain.
I will be reloading for Sierra 175/220gr, Speer 170/200gr, & Hornady 196/220gr (if I can find 220gr some) bullets.
Any suggestions for loads. I'm thinking I can use 8mm/06 load data minus about 5%.

I'll have to go look through my old load books. I used to have one (and a 9.3x60), 40 years back or so. Like you I made the brass from trimmed and fireformed 30-06 brass. I'll repost when I find them. - dan

I got a 8x60S Brno 21 cheap some years ago, loaded up 200 grs old Sako Hammerheads to 2670 fps with Vihtavuori N140 53 grs, and Woodleigh 250 grs to 2390 fps with Vihtavuori N 150 49 grs - a bullet with very pleasing sectional density. The second load is point of aim with open sights at 75 m and the first 10 cm over.

Found my old notes. Looks like I loaded 175 gr8 bullets (likely all the 8mm bullets I had at the time, Sierras) over 4064. Start with a maximum 8x57 load, and carefully work up for your own rifle. - dan

Will work. My 8mm-06 loads are about that much higher than the 8x60 was. - dan

Had one years ago- used 8x57 data and worked up a bit. My rifle was very light with a hard plastic buttplate, so recoil, rather than velocity or pressure was the limiting factor.
