Anyone loading 5.7x28? Having an issue....

Nice to hear OP found a solution. Makes the cartridge more appealing. You shouldn't have to bump the shoulder as much to put them back into the same rifle they're coming out of, so you might only need to go through that extra step the first time.

Not allowed to take other people's brass out the bucket at my range. It gets sorted and sold to fund our youth programs.
There is no youth bucket at our gun ranges.

They call it the garbage can!.....:) LOL

You guys don't even recycle spent brass?
This isn't the city, and no they do not.

The two gun ranges we belong to are little town hick ranges. The gun ranges are nice, and one could pull a ton of spent brass, but no one does unfortunately. Brass is usually left lying on the ground, some guys put them in their original case and toss them into the garbage.

You are lucky they put their own garbage in the can, along with the beer cans. Yes beer cans!.....:(

No supervision, in the middle of no-where and this is what happens.

Yeah, in a bolt action there should be far less case stretch that what is seen in most of the firearms the 5.7x28 is chambered in, that case stretching seems excessive even compared to most semi-auto platforms/cartridges I've reloaded previously, it pretty wild how different the once fired cases look compared to the resized ones. Brass should last a fair bit longer in the bolt action as well.

I’ve been thinking of getting into reloading 5.7 for my stowaway but I can’t justify the cost based on the reload data I’ve found online… if you don’t mind what projectile and powder are you using? How much does it come down to per cartridge, for me on what I’ve calculated it’s more or about the same in price than buying in bulk from gotenda…
