Anyone made a subsonic .308 load that cycles?

I have using 200 gr MK it sounds like 22 short good only to 100 m . PS it wont cycle in a M14 and none of the comercially available rifle sub sonic will not fcycle the actions on semi auto rifles except some 22 lr ammoPM me for the load out

Not gonna happen. Subsonic loads simply will not cycle a semi-auto action.

Subsonic .30 cal, with a stable bullet, is reasonable out to about 200 yards. Anything much over that is seriously pushing the envelope due to drop and windage issues.

Without a can, subsonics are not as quiet as you'd think. They tend to meter at about 155 dB or around as loud as a .22 rimfire handgun or a 12 ga shotgun.

With a can subsonics are a whole nother story. :)

The only subsonics I found truly quiet were 1" cased .38's for a Marlin 1894 with a tiny charge of titegroup compressed by dacron. Sounded like a dull thump, but launched a 158gr Gold Dot HP at 600fps.

And too bad about the lack of cycling loads... Figured, but held out hope soemone found a way to get the pressure... :p
