This may sound like an odd question.... but im looking for a pistol holster to mount on my Polaris RZR that keeps the water mudd and heavy dirt and dust out while im riding. Anyone know of anything like that?

What kind of pistol?
I'd think something IWB or under your riding jacket would do the trick.
Maybe some kind of over bag cinched around the holster would work... like people use over a pack sack when it's raining.

I could mount a pelican case in back but it's not a accessible from the driver seat. I'd like to carry my glock 21. It would be nice if it was pistol shaped with a cap to open to access the pistol. I could mount that on the bar above my head or down on the gear selector. I was going to mount a blackhawk serpa on the gear selector console but it won't protect the gun from mudd and water.

Some older Military Holsters had pretty good coverage.
I still don't see why you couldn't wear a tanker style holster under your jacket but maybe something like this Japanese holster below would work with your Glock, www.pacificcanvasandleather.com has inexpensive but good quality replicas of many military designs.

Another option is to mount a kydex holster securely inside a waterproof container. Secure the container to the vehicle and then should you need the firearm pop open the lid, reach inside an draw the pistol.

I like the sholder holster idea, when you dismount you don't need to look around to secure it when you leave for any reason.

some days when its hot out i just wear a t shirt. Something like this would be perfect because I could mount it on the roof pillar or when I get doors I could mount it inside the door and not worry about it getting covered in poop.

I understand its a glock and wont have problems... but I dont want to subject it to that kind of abuse if I can avoid it :)

I was joking. I baby my Glock... Just because it's tough doesn't mean it shouldn't be cared for appropriately.

The question is how fast do you need to be able to reach it? Your best bet would be a dry bag, which you could get at any marine store, or a pelican case. That's if you don't need to reach it in a hurry. If you want speedy access then you'll have to sacrifice total coverage.

If I could mount in on the inside of the roof that would be speedy enough. There aren't to many surprises on the trails.... but the other night some a hole in a truck kept following me and I had my 21 with me in a backpack I dont know what he wanted but I wasnt going to find out at 3am.... i wasn't on private land i was in the ditch along the highway testing out my light bar.

get a Murse. No seriously, a Man Purse. a bunch of different tactical companies make em. If you remember my buddy Chris (Ghost999 here on CGN) he can do a murse draw in 3.17 seconds. That's grab, unzip, draw and shoot.
