OP have you tried how factory rifles that come with Boyd's stocks feel in your hand... it may help with some options and sizing concerns you might have. I might be wrong but I'm sure my Savage Mark II TRR-SR is a Boyd's Pro Varmint and I think the Savage Target Thumbhole series are Boyd's stocks. All depends on how well your local shops stock the rifles though, if they do its a great opportunity to get length of pull, grip feel, and weight.
