I have been after one of these for years but they seem to be rare in Canada forsome reason. I RUN GUNS brought one in around xmass time but by the time I seen it it was sold. Bring in x2 and sell me one please. As far as I know they are a very good pistol. I like the wood grips on it. I would have them in bolth calibers. cheers!
There's no mag release!!![]()
I bought one several years ago. Like most Czech guns it's very well built with a roller locking system which is good since the 7.62x25 round can be pretty hot. Dependability is excellent. The grip is a little blocky if you have small hands and the sights are the typical tiny little military style. The mag release is a heel type which slows mag changes although unless you're looking to use it as a competition pistol it's not a big issue.
Overall it's a very solid pistol that will last a long time. As a bonus if you can find one there is an accessory barrel in 9mm which makes shooting it cheaper. I don't regret buying mine & wouldn't sell it.

Your man card has just been revoked.![]()

Buy a forged firing pin for it along with a slide release lever. The firing pin is cast and has the reputation for breaking. There is no thumb pad on the slide release to lock it open. There is also alot of speculation about its durability when shooting Czech surplus SMG 7.62x25. I had one and ended up selling it because there were several FTFs per box using surplus and there was always the bang bang click bang KABANG. I never tried a commercial brand ammo in the gun to rule out the ammo. It is decent to shoot when it works but i think there is a small risk when running surplus and check out makarov.com I think it is for the new manufacture forged parts.
