Anyone own a Fabarm shotgun?

I'm looking at buying a shotgun, this will be my first. I've been looking at Fabarm's 20" SDASS specifically, does anyone own one? What do you think of them? Did a quick site search and it seemed positive, looking for feedback from Fabarm owners. I want a tactical 12g but I'm not looking for a shorty or anything too tac'd out if you know what I mean.

Never owned one, but they are quailty shotguns.

They are also modern styled shotguns....So you'll need to decide if you want that kind of modern, Italian gun like a Benelli or a more traditional Remington or Mossberg type gun.

I like the smooth feeling action and cycling and the light handeling of the Fabarm/Benelli/Hatsan platforms myself.

Yes, they are gorgeous and function well. They aren't cheap. Mine's a 14" Martial SDASS. I've read that these are used by LE in Europe. Fantastic fiber optic sights, all models take screw in chokes.

If you want something to just beat the hell out of, buy a Mossy 590A1. It will take the abuse.

I've owned a Fabarm Martial Pro Forces 14" since June 2006. A lot of shotguns have come and gone since, the Fabarm isn't going anywhere.

I like pistol grips on shotguns, you can get one on the 20", I believe. Unsure if this is the 18 or 20", but it has a full mag tube and the PG stock. I find full stocks have a LOP that's too long.

I love my 14" fabarm SDASS martial Nickel

Probably 350 shells through it and not one issue. I have the pro forces pistol grip stock on mine.

Oh that's pretty sweet, looks like the SDASS tactical and not the trainer. I love the full size with the rail/sights plus pistol grip, best of both worlds. 7+1 is what I'm looking for and Fabarms website has a pistol grip/butt stock listed as an extra accessory you can order.

I have the sdass martial 14" and love it. Its in the "I will never sell category"
Smooth as silk. Reliable. Light. Perfectly balanced and a perfect fit.

She throws a nice fireball with slugs too!!

I own the martial pro forces 14".. One of my favourites and one that will definitely never see the EE.

I picked up a pair of 14" pumps as a result of Nine posting pics of his(2006). Great fit & finish on these SGs and so smooth...
My only complaint was the receiver getting scuffed up racking the "loaf of bread" fore-grip. (See how Nine has the receiver taped off)
Cars, food, guns and women….Italians know how to make them.

Mine gets marks on it after like 100 rounds from the pump but it wipes off and doesn't leave any marks after

Very cheap for a Fabarm. That's a great price for an excellent, smooth as butter shotty. It may be one that's not threaded for chokes, as I see some of them are not on their website. Their fixed stock is listed as LENGTH OF PULL 355mm = a hair under 14".

Got my fully loaded one for $699 on a Boxing Week sale. I think it's normally around $1000 or something.

I think it is threaded, just no heatshield, no GR sights or top rail and a regular field type stock. Stripped down and basic, just how I prefer.

I had an SDASS. The quality was fantastic, I thought it was going to stay on my love it list but....

I had problems with mine releasing an extra round from the magazine tube when I pushed it really hard for 3-gun. It got this really weird jam that could only be released with a knife or screwdriver and your not allowed to do that in most competitions! It was fine most of the time if going slow and yes, I was pumping it properly with that wonderful smooth spring assisted action. It was more reliable with the spring assist removed but I would most definitely not trust my life or competition to it. After much effort spent and a couple trips to gunsmiths later it was traded off to a dealer because I was to embarrassed to sell it to anyone. I did get a few fast stages with the spring assisted pump but it seemed to throw a wrench in the gears just often enough to p!ss me off.

I went back to a poorly made but more reliable new Remington 870.
