Anyone own a "Kobra" red dot from Russia?

I'm with smoothbore on this one....I have been considering mounting an AK side rail on my CZ858, and having a Kobra dot sight installed - (Canada Ammo) has 'em for 199 - seeing if he can get the new one in with the AK mount). I'm still looking for the side rail (also wondering if the one for the SKS sideplate will work with this mount). Anyways any CGNers with a Kobra - don't be shy - let us know.

I have had one for about a year or so. It is the lithium powered weaver rail version. It is a heavy bugger and overbuilt as typical of Russian optics. The reticles are bright and crisp and does not shift the point of aim. The brightness controls are good for dark up to sunlight reflection off of the snow. I recommend it!

DAR - what rifle do you have it mounted on? Also how long does the battery live? Is $199 at Canada Ammo a good price for one of these? I like the idea that it is overbuilt. I handled a friends 1911 not too long ago with an OKO sight, and it seems a little flimsy. I also tried a Hakko mounted to a friend's AR and wasn't ovely impressed with it either.(I could be wrong - it was just my initial impression of the OKO, but my friend Greg complains about how his Hakko doesn't hold zero). So I thought that the Kobra might be a good alternative at a fairly cheap price. I'd love an Eotech - but I just can't justify $400+ for a red dot.

The OKOs are nice, but yes are a bit flimsy, but you can get different version of it now /w a steel shroud, but it puts it up to the EOtech price range(maybe a lil less)

the Kobras are nice, but are a bit on the bigger side.... ATN makes really good red dots that are OKO sized, but are cased in a steel body, and much cheaper, ATN sights are made in Belarus....
