I looked at a few today. The one I liked is the 6x18x44mm. It would be for varmit on a 22-250. The tag on it was $360. Alot nicer optics than my base model 3x9x40 bushnell. Can someone tell me more about these scopes (good or bad). Just don`t want to throw coin at something and not like it in the end. Thanks.

I should have mine this week... ( 4-12X40 ) I got it from Prophet River about 100$ cheaper then anywhere else....

Will let you know how it compares to my Vortex

Redfield scopes are made by Leupold. I just put a Revolution 3-9x50 on my .270 win. It has the accu-recticle. Hoping to try it out this weekend. Paid $312 for it.

They were bought out by Leupold and from what I can see are good scopes for the money.
Lifetime warranty as well.
I have a 4-12 x40 Revolution and really like it.
Better optics than the Bushnell 3200 elite 3-9x40 or the Burris Fullfield II 3-9x40 I owned .
They brought out a new model called the Revenge , it has the target turrets and a rangefinding style of reticle pattern and it looks really good.

One of the best scopes I own.
I have the 4-12 power x 40 with the AO reticle.
Mine is mounted on a Savage model 25. This is my primary coyote rifle and I have been very pleased with the clarity of the glass and the light gathering ability of the optic.

These scopes are worth every penny IMHO.
My 0.02¢

There is an AO model? The only complaint from me was if you put the scope on a rimfire your parallex is set for 100 yards so any target closer then 60 yards or so is really blurry. If I would have been able to grab AO models then I would have put them on my rimfires. But otherwise the glass is really nice.

I have an old Redfield scope that spent time in the Pacific Ocean and the Redfield factory rebuilt it to new at no cost to me. I am still using the scope 20 years later.

Looks like they have gone up in price since 6 months ago.

I don't know that I agree they are better than the 3200 though.

Adjustments are mushy and have a cheap feel.

Here is a good read about a guy who does a comparison of a bunch of similarly priced scopes.

I bought a 4-12 revenge from Prophet river $219 same price as Redfields website. I have it mounted on a 22-250 no problem seeing gophers over 200 yards, really clear for the price.

The adjustments are not as positive feeling as some other scopes but that doesn't seem to hurt anything else. I've done the ladder thing with mine and it tracked and returned to zero just fine in spite of the mushy feel. I use mine as a regular hunting scope so I set zero and then mostly don't touch it until next time I check zero and it needs tweeking, which may be days or weeks or months. So the way the adjustments feel is not a big deal to me. If you are a long range precision shooter and need to make precise windage and elevation adjustments for every shot then this might not be the scope for you. It's a dam fine hunting scope though.

I love mine. It's got as good or better glass than the 3200 with a better warranty. Bushnell does not give the same level of customer service as Leupold and that alone is worth a lot IMO.

Bass Pro appears to be sporting the lower price DILLIGAF mentioned as well.. wish i had seen this before I overpaid at Al Simmons.

I'll never buy another bushnell again.

after my friends 7mm killed my 3200 after two shots, he mounted a redfield. still working. paid less than I did for my 3200. better glass etc.

-i've got one with the accu-range on my .204 - anything the circle touches out to 400 is providing pink mist for the environment.

Turrets are a little mushy. click better than my 3200 10x40 tac though.....

for a budget optic, they are good. if you are dead set on not spending much money, look no further.

One of the reasons I posted this was: I asked at the local gun shop about the price tags on their elite series Bushnell`s, then the guy proceeds to show me their Burris line-up and then into these Redfields. I was quite happy to get service like that! Unlike the WSS where they couldn`t be bothered to even talk to a guy. After seeing the line-up, I was a bit frazzled. I walked away pretty much with the mind set of "what I was about to pay" instead of the "quality I would be receiving" and I don`t care to do that. Everything I looked at was phenominal compared to my cheapie shope I have.

I have not bought a bushnell in 20 years.I also was a slow learner.Used to buy a 200 dollar bushnell scope everyother year.I spent the money on volume, not quality. If you shop with your eyes, instead of your wallet, well enough said.

I actually prefer the Burris. The 4200 Elite was pretty good but not cheap and the reticle choices sucked. The glass on the Burris Fullfield II 3-9x is at the 4200 level ie 95% light transmission. Glass on the 3200 wasn't very good. The 4200 was the only Bushnell scope I would consider. Although they have now changed their lineup.

The Redfield is about a Leupold VX1 or maybe 2 level. Some like them better, but I prefer the Fullfield II. Shop around you can find the Fullfield II on sale for about $200 to $225 (don't get the set with the binoculars).

I bought my Redfield Revolution 3-9x40 at a large chain that does not import through the Korth group so warranty is not as straight forward as it could have been. Wouldn't have been an issue except it went from 1.25" groups with my 338 to not staying on the paper (24"+). Now have an old Nikon Buckmaster on that rifle and it's back to 1.25" groups. Just my experience, but the Bushnell Elite and Nikon scopes I use haven't needed warranty...

I have a a Redfield 4-12x40 with accurange, I like the optics and adjustments slightly better on my Bushnell 3200s, I do not dislike the Redfield but my next scope will probably be a Leupold or a Nikon. I have never had to use a rifle scopes Warranty but I did have problems with a Tasco spotting scope which Bushnell replaced very quickly.

Just bought the Redfield Revenge varmint scope with the accu-range in a 6x18x44. Just had it installed and still need to sight in, but it sure is nice and if the accu-range works like the manual says.....that will be one nice option to have!
