I just bought an Inforce APL which is on the way to me... had this on my mind for about a year or so and finally pulled the trigger (good Xmas money this year). I'm wondering who bought one and what they think of it. Only see good reviews for them.

Apparently the 2014 v2.0 is supposed to be even better...

I have one I like, but I have heard that they don't stand up.

And holsters are tough to find, it am having a kydex one made up.

I had initial issues with mine but then again, I over torqued the screws on the mounting bracket. The new design eliminates that issue. I have 35 000 rounds through my Glock 17 with an old APL and have changed the batteries once (I also teach low light courses). They will work and are durable. I have 3 right now and a 300 Ultra but I prefer the APL.

I have a Sig 2022 on the way and a 226, was looking to try this on them. I ordered the APL from Rampart yesterday and it's in the mail today. That's how a company should do business.

I also have an HK USP but I'm aware that they have some proprietary rails on their pistols. Dumb if you ask me, but I like my USP.

INFORCE APL Gen 2 Pistol Light

Just got it. 200 Lumens is way brighter than I thought it would be, lights up the house (in the daytime) like crazy. Have never used a pistol light before so I'll try it at the range the next time I go. Impressed so far... box and instructions are a little on the plain side, but who cares as long as it works like it's supposed to.

from what i read/watched the gen 1s came off with shooting 45 not 9. ill be getting one soon. solely canadian makes holsters for these afaik

Gen 2 has a better mounting system, from what I read. If you buy one from Rampart, they have only the Generation 2 models - which are the ones you want.
