So I'm looking at the new Leupold line, can't find much on them...
anyone played with one or own one? what prices are we looking at here in Canada?
I really like the ballistic fire-dot.
how's the glass?dot? etc.?

Just bought a vxr 3-9x40 a couple months ago it has the fire dot duplex retical, clarity of the scope is very good.Had a vx1 before it,the vxr is a much clearer scope to look through ,found the red dot a tremendous help for older tired eyes.Bought it off of ee here for $500 to my door.Have not done much shooting with it except for sighting it in ,looking forward to deer hunting season to give it the test.I am sure there are members on here who will give you more info, as i have not used it much yet.

Some of us old crocks, need all the help we can get. With our eyes that is.Anyway,vx-r glass is about the same as a vx3,I think.I have the Firedot 4,which is the, heavy duplex.I find my eyes focus on the dot, which helps to aquire the target quickly.Used it this past white tail, season with reasonable luck.

The big thing I like is the non-tactical reticle that is uncluttered, yet still provides POA for varying distances. it looks a lot like the red-field accu-range TBH.
