That's about $200 Cdn. each. Going to do it? Become an entrepreneur!

Which factory? The one Loyalist deals with?

yes same factory loyralist military heritage and a few us companies order from

they also have a big stock of long arms too

I have about 4000 usd to spend but not 9

it would be friggen cool to have a 52 flintlocks
this included blunderbusses too

I had an order in from Military Heritage. After doing a little research I canceled my order. It would seem that their barrels are mandril formed. There were also other issues that I had problems with. I ended up putting my order in with Loyalist Arms, still waiting for my Brown Bess, do not mind the wait as they have individuals who inspect each firelock, correct any fit and fitment discrepancies whether it be furniture, lock stock, and barrel. They also drill the touch hole and send you loading and proofing data. They do not proof the gun, U have to do that, they send you the data on how to get it done correctly.
each rifle comes with flint, frizzen stall, and flashguard. can hardly wait to get my bess.

It is not the same factory, I can assure you. The factory that Loyalist Arms deals with, deals exclusively with Loyalist and no one else. Loyalist Arms buys their entire production run. This way Loyalist Arms can have and demand a certain standard of quality control.
This was one of the deciding factors of why I placed my order with Loyalist and not their competitor.

Agreed, this is also why they have guns that no one else does. They are not only using one factory either, some of their guns are produced at smaller shops.

Please let me know when your bess arrives as I wish to buy a bess off them as well. I currently have their sea service carbine and their 1777 frenchy. Both run very well, the 1777 had a very stiff trigger spring as first but has since worked itself in and smoothed out.

My sea service has seen atleast 6-700+ shots now and still runs like a champ.

So rest assured your gun will be a solid safe shooter, just don't expect it to win any fit and finish contests. They are guns that look pretty from 4 feet away and when you look close you see tooling marks, slight miscuts in the stock inlaying ect.

They still look good but they are just slightly crude. Since I bang mine up in the bush however, they suite me just fine and they just keep on booming.

dont get me wrong they are accrate to about about 50 yards and then from there nobody knows

play with ball sizes dont work. This gun was made to be reloaded quickly using and undersized ball

an oversized ball defeats the purpose of shooting a smootherbore. It's hard to pack in
I do believe that the standard of ordnance from the British Army was that the Brown Bess, in order to be accepted had to hit a man sized target at 25 yards. As other posters have said, play around with ball size, patch thickness, lubricants, charges, powder size, 2f - 3f and on and on. We do this anyway even with rifled smoke sticks.

They do not pull from the same factories. I have spoken with the factory in india that supplies loyalist and the one that supplies military heritage. They are different and the loyalist ones are better.

If only for the work they put into them before they are sold. You can contact loyalist and buy a Kit gun from them which comes straight out of the box from India. They are discounted. Loyalist does alot of work to their guns as a result they are better for it.

Thanks for posting, figured as much. I like loyalist arms guns, they work well.

Go for Loyalist, they also do gunsmithing and will actually talk to you because they are GUN people...Mil Heritage are HORRIBLE.....I used them a few years ago and the service was below dismal. Loyalist always helped me.

I plan to head out to the bush this weekend with my loyalist 1777 french infantry musket, I will make a video of it running some round balls and post it here.
