Anyone own/use a Kel-Tec RDB-S?

Yes, put all the stock screws (round head ones, flat head should be ok as is) on the blue loctite, and pic rail ones on red. Don't forget two screws under the rubber buttplate.

Thanks, duly noted, I'll do some searching and see what I can find on the subject. Probably won't matter much as all my brass, reloads and factory ammo currently at home is .223 so I'm set for awhile in that regard anyway......now to get started on load development. Seems like a number of the reviews I looked at online saw guys getting accuracy with 55gr bullets that right up there with the heavier 70+gr ones which seemed odd with the 1:7 twist, but I hope I find the same, I'm happy to plink with the cheaper bullets if they shoot decently well.

My keltec RDB-C that I bought maybe a month ago has RDB 5.56 NATO marked on the barrel.

fyii

My RDB-C was also grey market - from the store whose name begins with the letter after F and ends in C. Anyway, marked 5.56.
I put the S+J hardware Nano Linear comp on mine - had to #### around with finding a threaded shroudy thing to cover the wonky bump Kel-Tec leaves behind the muzzle threads for a iron sight. Reduces a bit of flash. Does push a bit of the bang and gas forward.
I got one with a short firing pin and a "I want to be free" rail. Finally got the rail screws to stay tight and it will shoot 2-3" at 100m. That was mostly with cheap Herters 55 gr ammo - and hard recessed primers. It's not a tack driver but is minute of deer.
Love how it carries, points and handles. Do wish the safety was top tang or fully ambi like the RDB. I got a local student with a 3d printer to make a pic rail that fits the handguard screws for $13 for two. Getting a Inforce 800 Lumen to light up the dark.

Great idea on the 3D printed pic rails that mount to the handguard screws. I'm a minimalist when it comes to putting extra stuff on my guns, but a small rail section for a light would have been a good idea for Kel-Tec to have incorporated.

+1

Keltec products tend to be hit or miss. If you can't get warranty, you're screwed.

I bought a used Keltec S2K...no warranty from Vault and they sent me all the internal parts free of charge. I also chatted with the tech and he walked me through how to repair. Pretty simple to repair any KelTec if you know how to use Youtube.

I'm a little baffled that none of the factory polymer RDB handguards has MLOK. Seems like a major opportunity missed, but I'm guessing they designed them before MLOK was a thing and by the time the moulds were made it was too expensive to change them

I agree with Milofficer. Could have been a great feature.
Here's a pic of my (unfortunately grey market) above mentioned RDB-C with a Sightmark FSR and the Inforce Gen2WMLx mounted on the 3d printed rail. Not the sturdiest mount, but until I can afford a LI hand guard, this is fine. Have yet to bag a deer with it - maybe this weekend. New Firing pin solved light strikes and loctite solved loose screws in various locations. Crossmags work very well, as do the variety of LAR mags I have.

Apparently Vault has a small number of KelTec MLOK aluminum handguards in stock. They're still a bit pricey at $270 but that's cheaper than trying to import a Lucky Irishman handguard, at least from my experience. I bought a Rhino rail from LI and it cost a small fortune after the exchange rate, shipping and then DHL's fees on top of everything else. Also the powder coating on the LI handguard wasn't very durable, but YMMV.

How do we order one? I thought they were just distributors?
