Looking at google image results, Glock 17 gen 5 with ameriglow bold sights on, seem to have a narrower front blade than factory plastic sights.
Tried researching the subject, with little results.

If someone purchased a G17 gen 5 in Canada, would you mind measuring front sight width and rear notch opening width with a caliper?
And also indicate where you purchased it specifically?

Answering me by PM is totally fine if you should wish to do so.
Thanks!

Gen 5 sights are zeroed for 147gr. Mine shoots 3 inch low with 124gr.

But yes. The fbi front sight is .125 blade width instead of 140.

Rear is 140 notch width.

Im actually taking off the fbi sights and put it up on EE. Hard to shoot the gen 5 when i am so used to POA POI on all previous gen. Gen 5 Fbi shoots 12oclock hold. Aka Sig hold

Are the ameriglow bold sights the fbi sights?
I have always used the top of front sight centered with target, and not about to change that.

Fyi i have emailed dawson precision, the guy who replied to me is a ******* ********er
Most useless rep they can have on duty.

I wanted to get info on their non-adjustable sights.
They never wanted to say for which ammo it was calibrated because of liability reasons.
I insisted and he finally replied, just buy winchester white box and it will work.
Ok then, which whitebox do i get, 115,124 or 147? No can't reply which factory ammo weight for liability reasons...

I hate it when product manufacturers make it hard for you to buy from them.

Most handgun are zeroed with 124gr at 25yd. I know the fbi sight is zeroed with 147gr because the fact that it shot low for me. And that the fbi front sight is .020 taller than the gen 3/4 front sight.

They wont tell you what they use to zero it because yes for liability. You gotta figure out your own hold and sight picture using the ammo of your own choice/preference.

That's the thing, they advertize their sights for ''perfect impact'', if they shoot high or low, you say by how much and replace front sight free of charge the 1st time.
I could just order, and then make a claim, but trying to save me and them that trouble is obviously not working.

Anyways, i can complain all i want but have decided i will end up with DP as the front sight is narrow. If i have to start shooting 124gr it's not a big issue as i'm out of competition circles this year with elbow problems.

Oh and just ordered my G17.5
At 757$+5%tx and free shipping, i believe i got myself the perfect el cheapo priced polymer gun.
