Title says it...Ive got some 455 colt brass (about 50 rds)that i have been "hand loading" for lack of dies. I have had great success hand loading but after 5 or so re-loads they need to be run through a sizing die. Is there anyone in the queen city that can help with this? I only need to do about 20... just so i have something to play with in the future.

.45 Colt or a Colt in .455 Webley. Two different things. In any case, your brass needs to be resized every time. Not every 5 or so loadings. The brass expands upon firing and does not come back to its original size. .45 Colt dies aren't hard to come by.

455 and 45 colt have the same outer diameter. A 45 colt die should bring the 455 dia back to where it should be. I have been shooting very mild BP loads in the 455's. Reloading by hand (without re-sizing) has worked just fine for me. Granted, if i were shooting smokeless or a heavy load the case would expand a bit too much making chambering a b*tch but with the mild loads im using it has worked fine.

What has happened to my cases is...they're well used ballon head cases...the base has expanded a bit too much to chamber properly. The full length on the case is still near spec and chambers perfectly. I just need to get the base sized back down.
