Anyone recognize this 7.62 X 51 headstamp?

I am planning on keeping a small amount of brass dedicated to a Norc 305 that I have mounted a scope on, to keep one of the variables down. I have a bunch of this stuff:

First off, where is it from, and is it any good? Secondly, I have a bunch of IVI brass...has anyone noticed any better lot or year headstamp that you found is more consistant?

If it's boxer primed and you already have some, just keep on using it.
I to have a pile of IVI brass, and us it when needed.

Looks like Hertenberger brass that was around a few years back.

Those look like 5 pointed stars. Seal of David is 6.
Check for Boxer primers. You will have to clear out the crimp.

keeping brass dedicated to each rifle is a very good idea. If you have a large enough quantity, process it and carry on. I assume it is boxer primed? (A single flash hole).

The way I process crimped brass for my non-match rifles is I just touch the primer pocket with a champfering tool in my electric drill. the tool is about $7.00 and the hardware store.

IVI brass is boxer and perfect for your rifle.

Oddly enough, the star on the LH side is 5 point and the right is 6 point but not the interlinked triangles of a Star of Dave.

Sure enough Boxer, and I have a RCBS primer pocket swager waiting.

Sure enough, this is apparently Hirtenberger surplus. I don't think I will be loading it as hot as the original load.

...one of the comments from the link you posted was that G3's like it hot.

However,

It was hotter than H e double L. It was pounding the crap outta M1A and the SOCOM, very violent cycling, and noticably more recoil in the Rem 700.

After about 10 rounds through the SOCOM my shoulder was sore, and I can put 200 rnds through the Garand with little discomort. Plus the accuracy was 5moa though the NM.

I think I can do better than that...
