Anyone recognize this magazine follower?

Does anyone know where the larger, metal mag follower might have originated? The smaller one is a plastic 870 12 ga. follower for reference.

That’s a Remington 870 early long type follower. These are metal and measure 1.75" long. They come out of some early 2 3/4" 870s.

I pulled the follower out of an old Wingmaster. I hadn't seen this type in a Remington before. I appreciate your sleuthing!
