I was thinking of putting peep sights on my 10/22, either the tech or the williams. Kinda leaning toward the williams with the red post, anyone regret putting them on? I dont have any problems with the factory dovetail and enjoy the benefits of sights mounted so close to the barrel vs a high scope. Anyone like the 3 dot sights from williams also?

I put Tech Sight 100's on my 10/22 and they're fantastic. I had Williams sights on a 10/22 compact and they were good, but the Tech Sights are, in my opinion, far better.

The tech sights aren't too high but I didn't like them. I went back to the factory barrel mounted sights. I use the larger square notch instead of the round one. Huge difference and I can shoot just as good as with peeps. Maybe I just like the original look too much but that's what works for me. Another option for peeps is Skinner. I have a lo-pro sight that is nice plus at $37 its not expensive.

I have the series 200 tech sights on my 10/22 and they are excellent. feels like I can shoot the wings off a fly at 25 meters. I also mounted the front sight on a whiteface mountain barrel that just had dovetails added a couple weeks ago

I'm a fan of my TSR200's....make sure you get the sight adjustment tool and the extra apertures (I like the larger one so I can actually see the gopher).

But then you change one thing and you start doing things like... a CPC Bolt Rework, Brimstone Tier 1 Trigger Job, VQ Bedding System, VQ Extended Bolt Handle & Recoil Rod Assembly, TufferBuffer and finish it off with a leather sling. Just a warning though :runaway:

I just ordered the Williams fire sight set rear peep not the 3 dot last week. As soon as i get it mounted and try it out i will let you know how it worked asap :D
That is if you haven't made your decision yet.

I also have the TSR combo on my 30 year old carbine. They are great.

Now, a question for those who have installed slings. What are you using, QD studs or what?

I want a sling too!

Well I think I made my mind up, going to order the tech 100 sights, how good are they if your shooting a mustkrat at lets say 20 feet? How close of a shot can you accuratly make with peep sights?

I am using uncle mikes QD sling attachment. I purchased a few weeks ago a 1 inch M14/M1 Garand sling. you know the kind with two brass "fingers" that hook through the holes in the sling for adjustment. its been really great and when shooting off hand really helps for accuracy.

At 20 feet you could pick where on the head you want to hit it. Also having the second aperature that flips up is handy for the longer shots. I have the 100s mounted on an 8" 1022 and I pick off 22 casings with it even down to 10 feet, and be capable with a steady rest of getting a rabbit at 50 yards. I've found the 100 has less glare then the 200. I've also been coloring the front post a bright blue for better contrast in the tighter bush.

Who sells tech sights in Canada?
