Anyone reloading a savage 99F in .308?

Just picked one up recently and I will be reloading it. Due to it's light weight, I am guessing I should crimp. I'm anticipating a bit of recoil lol. What powder and bullets are you having success with? I have H4350,4895,4381sc,varget and imr 4064 on hand. I have settled on 150 gr bullets for this one. I have Speer grand slam,nosler bt, hornady sst and interlocks in my stash. Thanks in advance for your findings.

I handload for that firearm. I'm using imr4064 under a Hornady 150GR BTSP. I'm not crimping mine but I'm also not loading them hot.

I used 4064 and 150 grain bullets. It is a very light rifle for sure as the F stands for featherweight. When I started reloading I could only get 4 rounds in the rotary magazine with a set of normal dies but factory rounds always loaded five. i went out and purchased a small base die set but in hindsight I probably wasn't camming over the round in the press sufficiently. When the dies were setup properly I could fit 5 reloaded rounds in the rotary magazine.

Seven pounds isn't overly light. No need to crimp for a mag fed rifle either. Still needs FL resizing ever time though.

Haven't weighed it but there is no way it is 7lbs.
