Looks awesome, except for the price of the reflex sights you guys mentioned. Are there any 'bang for the buck' models or are you just buying junk if spending under $500? Any good deals in the US, through Irunguns?
Well the Burris is towards the lower end of the minis. It also costs quite a bit less. Both the Trijicon and Leupold DeltaPoint are designed to perform in military conditions. Mine sits on an AR and so doesn't absorb much recoil. It's also protected by a very substantial shroud. My Burris is on a .22 pistol upper now and so I don't anticipate problems there. Those get bashed back and forth many times as the guns cycle and I haven't heard durability of issues. I see the Burris Fastfire IIIs on Amazon for less than $300. The older Fastfire II's are less. Make sure you get the mount you need.
OK, just for fun, here is my old school shotgun reflex sight. Nydar model 47.
Made from tool steel. Designed in 1947, inspired by fighter plane gunsight technology.
