Anyone running an LEO adapter with Aridus CROM or XS setup?

Hey folks, still looking for an iron sight setup for my 870.

I’m using the MESA LEO stock adapter and have a 14” barrel.

I tried to import a 14” with rifle sights but that’s not looking hopeful.

This brings me back around to a ghost ring setup. I’m looking at running either an Aridus CROM or XS ghost sight rail with Wilson Combat front sight.

I’m wondering if there is enough height with the CROM or XS rear to work with the LEO adapter?

Thanks.

You should be good, the magwedge rail I mount my red dot on has a grove down the middle I can use as a peep when the rds is mounted. It was bang on at 25-30 yds with slugs and buckshot with the tall grizzly front sight, it wasn’t adjustable for elevation like the xs rail/peep. There was just enough drop on the LEO stock that I could get them to line up and the front sight post was high enough to bring the point of impact down enough with the 12.5” barrel. So you should be good with an adjustable rear peep if you have a tall front sight like the xs big dot up front.

Nice setup!

Thanks for the info. I’m leaning towards the CROM with Haught mod so I use the irons without removing my red dot if it fails.

Thanks, it’s a fun little gun. I’ve got it running very reliably with a bunch of polishing and ####ing with the mags, I put a 14” choked barrel on it so using irons with the rail grove is no longer an option. The new barrel has no front sight on it, so till I find a set of 870 rifle sights the rds is the only way to bring the poi down with the shorter barrel.

At least with chokes chokes I can now swat grouse with it and not shred them up, nice to have a use for it as well. I’m not into paperweights.
