Anyone seeing bears yet?

Here's a picture of three live ones that just walked down the road to us last Thursday. The guy that was with me had never seen grizzlies that close before. He was some excited!


The sow was huge, and the cubs the size of big black bears. To give you an idea of their size, two vehicles can easily pass on that road without moving off the road at all. The cubs are probably two years old. They have been out of their den for some time, as you can see by the lanky appearance of the sow.

Just be glad you stayed warm at home today, it is snowing harder than it has snowed all winter down here. I was going to go for a hike this morning to test out the new camera lens, I passed

It is snowing pretty good around here too. Gonna go for a drive/hike tomorrow, no matter what. OK, almost no matter what...

Two Grizz were trapped NW of Sundre, one 700 lbs and the other half that.
Was a Black bear spotted south of town on March 25th, but I don't know by who.

Just saw a blackie off Highway 99 near Squamish, apparently a few wandering around the Northshore also.

One of our drivers filed an incident report today, was filling a tanker when a black bear came out from behind his truck.... Ya there awake in peace country.
